Y1 Museum and Gallery Visit on PhotoPeach

March 16th, 2010

Hola Y1

I hope you are having a lovely time with Mrs Power so far this week.

I am having a great time with Y6 in Kingswood!  We arrived yesterday at half past 12, had our lunch and then the activities started!  The first thing our group did was an activity called ‘night line’.  We also did archery (Robin Hood style) and climbed a huge wall (Miss Sinnott fell off the wall oops!)  Then, we played a game of hotspots (giant game of twister) and had a silly pose competition.

Today we have been making our own animations, been on the quad bikes and we are about to go on the 3G swing (scary stuff).  It is all very exciting.

I spoke to Mrs Rowlands last night and she said that you have been wonderful for Mrs Power!  Keep it up and don’t miss me too much this week ;)

I will try to leave you all a message later in the week.

Missing you all.

Miss Sinnott (Mr Hewer and Miss Gibson say hello)

ps. Look at the year 6 blog for some photographs.

Belated Happy New Year!

January 13th, 2010

Happy New Year everybody!

We hope you had a wonderful Christmas and New Year.

What a start to the spring term!  There has been snow, snow and more snow and unfortunately school had to be closed… but that meant that we had another three days to play in the snow!

Don’t forget, if you have any photographs of you and your snowmen then bring them into school and we will try and post them on the blog!

It was so sad that we were unable to make it to see the Snow Queen due to the weather conditions but all was saved thanks to Georgia, who brought the Snow Queen dvd into school.  Y1 and Y2 joined forces and spent the afternoon watching the dvd and enjoying our snacks!

Happy Christmas and have a lovely holiday!

December 18th, 2009

We have had a fabulous time in school over the past 2 weeks! Last week we had our Christmas play performances. The children were absolutely brilliant and Mrs Rowlands and I were so proud of all of them! Mr Rafferty has kindly put the photographs on the blog! Thank you for everybody’s support!

On Tuesday afternoon we had our Infant Christmas Party! There were lots of party games and prizes, not to mention food, which the children thoroughly enjoyed!

It was Christmas dinner on Wednesday!  The children sat down at their tables with the whole school while all of their teachers were dressed up in festive accessories and served them their dinner! There were big smiles all round when they found out that they had Father Christmas ice cream for dessert!

Yesterday we had a wonderful magician come into school to show us his magical tricks!  Everybody was amazed and we wanted to see more!

May we take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to the children for all of the gifts we received!  We are so overwhelmed and cannot say thank you enough!

Have  a wonderful Christmas and we will see you all in the New Year!

Lots of love

Miss Sinnott and Mrs Rowlands
