A Message from Daniel
Hi Y1
I was upset that I missed the visit to the Library last week it sounds like you had a good time. I’ve not been very well but I am getting better and hope to back in school on Monday.

Last week, Y1 went on a visit to the library. We had a lovely walk to and from the library and used our road safety rules to make sure that we were safe crossing the roads. At the library, Sandra the librarian, gave us a tour, showed us how to borrow a book and did a quiz on traditional tales with us! It was great! Then we coloured our autumn leaves and made our autumn trees! Y1 would like to say a big thank you to Miss Cheetham, Mrs Crawford, Mrs Connor and Mrs Williams for keeping us safe when walking us to and from the library.
Talking about walking, it was ‘Walk to School’ week last week! Well done to all the children in Y1 who walked every day and the children that tried their best to walk at least one day! Let’s see if we can beat our record next time and have everybody walking to school on at least one day!
This week’s Champion Child was Georgia Martin! Georgia earned her award for writing a wonderful character description for her traditional tale and for always trying her best! Well done Georgia, keep trying hard and you will do very well!
Last week, Kyle brought in his model boat for a brilliant ‘Show and Tell’. We look forward to hearing Callum Furey’s on Wednesday afternoon!
See you all tomorrow!
Miss Sinnott and Mrs Rowlands

Another jam packed week for Y1!
Very well done to our Champion Child, Charlie Rigby this week! Charlie won the Champion Child award for always having a beautiful smile and having a head as hard as nails at the football last week. Charlie also reads at home every single night! Keep it up Charlie!
Everton Football coaches were in school on Thursday and every class was lucky enough to have a session with them! It was great and the children really enjoyed it! Have a look at our photographs and can I say a huge thank you to Mrs Connor for the photographs from the football festival last week!
Have a lovely weekend!
